Internship Possibilities

The Armenian Economic Association is offering the opportunity for bachelor and master students of economics and related disciplines to conduct an internship with the Association. The internship is for 3 to 6 months, it is part-time with 40 hours a month and is unpaid. Successful candidates will be supervised by one or several of the Board of Directors of the Association (http://aea.am/aboutus/).

Students are expected to contribute to several strands of current work happening at the Association. These include: i) analysis of economic policy questions facing Armenia, including the collection and analysis of data, review of literature, preparation of policy proposals; ii) research assistance on ongoing academic work by the board members directly or indirectly related to Armenia; iii) contribution to the day-to-day running of the association including the organization of events, updating the website, among others.

As a result of the internship, students can expect to get a better understanding of economic policy, gain insights into the process of economic research, and become more experiences on running a non-profit organization. Students of economics and related disciplines, such as related social sciences, data sciences, applied mathematics and statistic, among others, affiliated to universities both in or outside of Armenia are welcome to apply. The working language is English. Armenian language skills are desired but not mandatory. Strong skills in data handling and some basic programming skills are required.
