Ashot Mkrtchyan Award

The Ashot Mkrtchyan Award, launched in 2024, is presented by the Central Bank of Armenia in memory of Ashot Mkrtchyan, a former Central Bank of Armenia board member and longtime supporter of the Armenian Economic Association. The award recognizes the best paper in macroeconomics presented at the AEA Annual Meetings, honoring Mkrtchyan’s commitment to research that informs real-world economic policy in Armenia.
