The 16th Annual Meetings of the Armenian Economic Association were held in Yerevan, Armenia, from June 29 to July 1, 2026, hosted under the auspices of the American University of Armenia. The meetings brought together economists and researchers for another year of rigorous research, stimulating discussion, and vibrant intellectual exchange. This year’s conference featured over 90 papers presented across 27 sessions, with presenters representing over 20 countries. Sessions spanned a wide range of fields, including labor economics, macroeconomics, public economics, political economy, financial economics and banking, innovation and technology, gender economics, international trade, migration, and experimental economics.

Special Sessions
A special session showcased the Armenian Linked Employer–Employee Data, jointly developed by the State Revenue Committee (SRC) and the Armenian Center for Research in Economics (ACRE). Presentations covered responses to pension reform, wage effects of mobility between the public and private sectors, and the impact of high-skilled migration on Armenia’s labor market. The meetings also included a Central Bank of Armenia plenary session, at which the Bank’s new monetary policy framework was presented.
Awards
The meetings concluded on Wednesday, July 1, with the best paper award ceremony. Congratulations to this year’s award winners:
