CfP: 15th Annual Meetings

The Armenian Economic Association is pleased to announce its 15th Anniversary Conference, scheduled to be held from June 30 to July 2, 2025, in Armenia. Scholars are invited to submit complete papers or works in progress for consideration. Proposals for complete sessions, consisting of three or four papers, are also welcome.

As always, the 2025 conference will showcase research across the full spectrum of economic disciplines—ranging from microeconomics to macroeconomics, theoretical to empirical studies, and from applied research to foundational work. Submissions are encouraged from related fields including, but not limited to, finance, management, and marketing science, political science and sociology, public health, economic history. Research with a focus on development and policy relevance is particularly encouraged.

A limited number of travel subsidies may be available, with priority given to early-career scholars.

Awards

Armenian Economic Association will give Armen Alchian Award for the best general-interest work presented at the conference and Grigor Artsruni Award to a Young Economist for the most promising work. As usual ArmEA will administer IMF Best Paper Award (presented by IMF Yerevan Resident Representative’s office) and Ashot Mkrtchyan Award (presented by the Central Bank of Armenia).

YES Summer School

Yerevan Economic School, in cooperation with the University of Chicago, organises a Summer School in Dilijan intended for young economists that will follow AEA 2025 Annual Meetings. Young professionals are invited to participate in the summer school. The summer school will feature several short-term courses, research seminars, and workshops in which participants will be given an opportunity to discuss their work with recognised scholars in the field. The YES Summer School intends to provide an intensive training course for research-oriented graduate students and early-career researchers in economics. More information is available here.
